We went to see our beloved Dr. Godi today for our first check up and and Thad weighs in at 10lbs and 21 inches. We go back in 6 weeks and start shots! Everything looked good. This is so unusual for us that Jesse and I barely knew how to act. Usual for us every visit has some special instruction about how to take care of some problem. Keep the prayers coming...not just for Thad but for us all. Jesse leaves for 2 week drill Saturday and I am afraid I might lose my mind before he gets home but Paige has volunteered to come and help out when she can so maybe I will live through this!

Partial Grand Tour
Daddy is standing at the top of the stairs that right now go to no where but will eventually go to the upstairs. From here you can see in the very back is my bathroom and master bedroom. If you look from left to right you see the dining room and the kitchen and where all the boards are at the front of the picture is the ceiling of the living room.
Daddy turned to the left a little while on top of the stairs and to the far left that you can only see a little corner of the garage. If you walk up the steps you will enter the laundry room. Get a good look cause y'all will be coming in through the front door...hahha! If you turn to your right out of the laundry room you will be in a short hall that has the pantry on the right and the 1/2 bath on the left. As you come out of this hall way you will see the stairs on the left and the dining room on the right that is open to the kitchen and the living room.

There are a few changes but for the most part you can get an idea of where we are going! The outside will be white siding on the porch and upstairs but the rest will be red brick. Garage will face East (toward mom and dad's house) instead of North (the front of the house). Anyway, hope you enjoy watching our house go up as much as we are (well the kids and I...Jesse is like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs)!

1st Bath
Thad took his first bath last night and Sandy and I could not really tell if he enjoyed it. He did not really cry but he also was not the happiest camper in the house at that moment. It was fun either way!
What is in a Name?
Did not mention this earlier but thought it was worth talking about. If y'all have not figured it out yet all of our children have family names in some shape form and fashion. Sandy's legal name is Sanderson (my maiden name) Morgan (Mr. Robert's middle name and GG's maiden name), Emma stands for different women in my family (Eugenia, Melba, Miriam, Amanda) Lee (Jesse's grandmother Brand is Flora Lee), and David (my grandfather David Bennett) Brand (Jesse's middle name and his mother's maiden name).Thad is no different. Thad's name honors of our Grandfathers. Charles is Jesse's grandfather Brand, Charles William Brand. Thad is my grandfather Sanderson, James Thad Sanderson. Both were fine well respected men who loved us and took care of us. We just hope and pray that Thad can live his life in such a way as to make our grandfathers and their families proud. This is something I have picked up from my own mother. My name is Miriam Lois of which mom chose from both of my grandmothers, and my brother is Bennett Thad from our grandfathers. Whether you like your name or not if it means something to you then it does not matter because it is special and hopefully gives you something to live up to.
Who has Thad
Below are a few pictures of Thad with a few family members.
My grandfather David Bennett, better known as Pop, enjoying a moment with his 5th great grandchild, Thad!

We are home and enjoying everyone coming by. Also thank you to everyone that has sent gifts and food! Baby is Coming!!!
We went to the doctor Thursday and he has scheduled me to induce on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 6 AM. I tried very hard to make him understand I don't work well that early in the morning but he just laughed. I said no really I don't even get up to go to work that early and again he laughed at me. Of course it did not help that in the background Jesse was having a heated discussion about Biggest Loser with Dr. Otey's nurse, Tracy. Tracy is now threatening to call the hospital and have our TV cut off if we are still there Tuesday night for the Biggest Loser finale, so Jesse offered to buy pizza and let her come watch it with us. So no matter what we should be having an exciting week ahead of us!
