Pilot/Anchor International Convention
Mom & I just got back from a 5 day trip to Louisville, KY. We took immediate past Governor Stacey Chapman, Outgoing Anchor President Kali Moore, Ingoing Anchor President Lindsay Ward, Arissa Belk, Hunter Powell, & Mabry Wilkinson. While mom, Stacey, & I attended Pilot meetings the kids went to Anchor meetings. As soon as the meetings were over we took off to explore. We made it to Joe's Crab Shack - where we ate wonderful food and embarrassed Kali & Lindsay by telling them it was their birthdays...great place to do that to someone- we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory, saw Colonel Sanders (KFC man), and saw how they make bats for the big league. We stayed at the Galt House where we were treated like royalty. The Anchors did leadership activities, painted canvases for a hospital, heard motivational speaker Vickie Clark, and learned from Sean Carter first hand how drinking and driving can change your life forever. Sean has a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) from an accident where he was riding with someone who had been drinking. He cannot speak or walk; however, uses his computer to communicate his story. It was inspiring and helped motivate the Pilots and Anchors both to do more for our focus of Brain Related Disorders, Injuries, and prevention of both! It was a great week and I had a good time with some great people!
Coming home Hunter was having a few hair issues so he decided to buy the hat below to shut us up...please don't think that it helped any
Mabry balancing a HUGE bat on his chin. There are days when I'm not sure if I am with Mabry or my younger brother?!?!?!
Kali at the Louisville Slugger factory/museum swinging Mickie Mantle's bat
Lindsay being embarrassed cause she has to get up to dance since it is her bday...well not really but that is what you get when you mess with the boys' playstations
Anchors worked on a hospital art project during convention. Hunter is showing off his artistic ability and communication skills...lol
Arissa is working on finishing off our portion of this painting with black lines

pictures over the past few months
Have not had much time to update lately...maybe these next few pictures will help catch everyone up. We moved into the new house October 9, 2009 and finally parked in the garage March 15, 2010. We have enjoyed a Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, several bdays, Sunday School parties, and countless of late nights with friends. This definitely the house of my dreams. It was really funny the other day cleaning out boxes i found my Senior book and the prediction in it said that I would be married to Jesse living in a 2-story house...lol! Anyway, Hope you enjoy these few pictures and hope to hear from you soon!!!!!
You would think the International 2nd Place winner of Anchor Advisor of the year would get treated better than her anchors taping her up
Brand, Odie, Sandy, Emma Lee, & Thad...man that is one cute bunch!!!

House as of Sept 26, 2009
Thanks to Aunt Gaye and Uncle Doyle (my wonderful sister-in-law and her husband) my stairs are a fine work of art in our home.
The master bathroom vanity...those drawers under the sink tilt out with storage for toothbrushes and tooth paste! Cool huh?!?!
The garbage cans hide in the cabinet and can be put places where the tiny people can't get into them! In the corners are lazy susans :)
Yes those beautiful cabinets go all the way to the ceiling...i HATE cleaning places that no one sees so i did not see the need to waste the space with stupid knick knacks that would just need dusting. Besides that is the perfect place for me to hide things...hehehehe!!! the hole you see is where the vent-a-hood and freestanding range will go...look at all those plugs. Until you have lived in 100 year old houses with fridges plugged into extension cords and alarm clocks plugged in above you headboard you will never understand the need for plugs everywhere!!!!

Sandy's adventure
During the summer Sandy has started the process of Braces! She went Tuesday to have 2 baby teeth and a filling. She was great...Dr Rhyne bragged about how great she was and how smart she is. I don't know what a dentist does to you so that he can tell how intelligent you are but he did. I was so proud of her. Keep her in your prayers because next Monday she goes to get 2 more baby teeth pulled and another filling. August 13th is the magic day for braces at 9 AM.
